NOTEP X KOBORED
THURSDAY 26 SEPTEMBER 2019
For the past three years, Future Rising has touched down in 14 cities across the globe, creating unique experiences and creations that empower and celebrate the very best new talent in music and design from around the world. Following the European edition in Spring 2019, Future Rising returns for five one-off audio-visual collaborations, touching down in Guangzhou, Bangkok, Goa, Kuala Lumpur and Brisbane to explore what’s happening in each city RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW!
In Bangkok, Future Rising brings together musician and artist Note Panayanggool a.k.a Notep, known for her signature experiments with electronic and spiritual sounds, to collaborate with local visual artist KOBORED, who specialises in light installation and projection mapping, to co-curate a unique A/V show to be premiered for the very first time at W Bangkok.
Musician, artist and creative director based in Bangkok, Note Panayanggool a.k.a Notep (No-Tep) combines music, art, design and technology to shift the focus from physical experience to something spiritual. Notep's latest exhibition, Energy Diary 02 experiments with electronic and spiritual sounds that explores balance in the spiritual and modern world. Notep's DJ sets and live performances are a regular fixture at Thailand's pioneering, sustainable Wonderfruit festival; expect ethereal vocal loops with dark melodic electronics.
Specialising in light installation and projection mapping, Bangkok-based visual artist KOBORED is driven by digital experimentation. A recent collaboration with London artist D-Fuse explored how Thai and international artists have shaped his home city and translating those visions through digital and other emergent technologies. Meanwhile, current explorations into A/V experiences and large-scale projection mapping in public spaces hint at his tireless creativity.
